Mentorship is frequently seen through a skewed lens; misinterpreted, undervalued, and criticized. Yet, both mentors and mentees share a genuine investment and are committed to the purposes they’ve been entrusted with.
I spent a long time serving but this book made me realize serving means nothing when you’re not doing it in the right attitude, without humility, and when it’s of yourself. This book made me realize that all help is not good help and if it’s not good help it’s of no use. Lastly, I learned that you can’t truly serve someone you don’t honor and you can’t honor someone you don’t trust. This book showed me that I was serving deficiently for a long time! Thank God for deliverance! POWERFUL BOOK!!
Although this booklet is a “must read” for those in Leadership and the people that support them, it is an excellent read for anyone with a desire to advance GOD’S Kingdom. It is short but compelling.
I recommend this book to all Christians because every Christian is a leader whether in home, church, employment, family, neighborhood, etcetera including leading oneself. The challenge to serve well from a Biblical view is in the book. As we live in the world, this book also serves as a reminder of the purity in servanthood.
